As I laid down to wake, my mind began to drift in the far reaches of its recent past. I turned from side to side over and again, every time watching little red numbers flash on and off; quarter past seven in the a.m. Suddenly as if it were a bullet and the trigger to its counterpart had been pulled, my mind catapulted to the beginning of everything; it made its way to where it all ended.
